Anti Smoking Campaign
Smoking is one of the most abused hobbies by most people. It makes people addicted with just one try because of the nicotine it contains. Most people use cigarette to relieve stress, to be relaxed, to feel comfortable without knowing that it can ruin and destroy their health. People does not realize that smoking can't help anything but can only destroy their lives. I'm not a smoker and I keep asking myself why do people can't stop using cigarettes. They're willing to buy such an expensive cigarette just to feel relax? Just to relive stress? There is a lot of activities and entertainment that can relieve stress and that can make you feel relaxed.
Smoking can also cause you sickness and cancers. One of the most popular or common effects of using cigarettes too much is lung cancer. Lung cancer could kill every person who has it. the common reason causing lung cancer is being a chain smoker or smoking too much. Stop smoking as early as you can, before its too late.
SOM Week
SOM week is a week to remember. A week that anyone cannot replace. A week that will showcase each and everyone's talent and skills. A week to meet new people and add new friends. I never thought that SOM week is going to be so fun and exciting. I was invited to join the basketball team that will represent Tourism Management. And when the SOM week begun, I was shocked because the other sports are lack of players and I was forced to play with different kinds of sports. I was very exhausted because I'm playing for time to time and was not able to eat lunch or have a snack. But in the end, after all the sweat that I've been thru, it was all worth it. Meeting new teammates and having them as my new friends was unforgettable. Next SOM week. I look forward on meeting more friends and more intense gaming from different courses. SOM week is not being competitive, It is a way of showing them what you've got and what you are. It is showing whether you have a good or bad sportsmanship, It is gaining and having new friends, and it is a week of having fine and problem free.
Parasyte
The whole
story of parasitic creatures taking over human brains was originated from
Hitoshi Iwaaki’s early 1990s manga. Since that time “Kiseijuu” (Parasyte in
Japanese) comics were sold around 11 million times. Impressive number, right?
Last year big screen business sharks decided to start fir in the fans’ hearts
and produced anime series named Parasyte the Maxim and two live-action
movies, first of which was released at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
Actually,
I hate Hollywood movies about alien invasion. Especially famous one with green
Martians whose heads exploded after the first sound of Slim Whitman’s “Indian
Love Call”. However, I cannot deny that first part of a Parasyte manga’s
adaptation happened to be simply stunning. It kept me glued to the screen for
roughly 110 minutes!
Well,
some of you who have not read the manga or watch anime may have no idea what I
am talking about. Okay, get ready for some spoilers. Parasyte is a story of
17-years old Shinichi (Shota Sometani) unlucky to live in the world where
flesh-eating aliens take over the humans by entering their brains. Thanks to
having earphones while sleeping, Shinichi’ brain remains intact and
body-snatching alien has no choice but to take over his hand. That is how the
story of friendship between meat-eaters begin. The idea is not that brand-new.
Remember one of the series of the sci-fi TV show named LEXX where humans were
controlled by alien worms penetrating their bodies?
like to
mention few words about the director, Takashi Yamazaki. He is a really famous
person in the Japanese cinematography highly praised for his 2013 controversial
war movie “The Eternal Zero”. After the great success only surpassed by megahit
“Frozen” Yamazaki cannot just go unnoticed. I am not surprised at all that
Parasyte movie arrived in cinemas with a lot of hype. Well, he is well-worth of
that appraisal! Diving into all the craziness, Parasyte movies is certainly
something unique, something genuine that we don’t get on the big screens too
often.
One
should definitely grudge against the visual effects looked not very convincing.
Instead of hunting down the realistic look, director decided to make it
cartoony and plastic-like. I have absolutely no problem with it. At all! If you
are familiar with Japanese cinematography you would confirm that this is often
used in Japanese manga adaptations. It just becomes the part of the Parasyte
movie’s style. Moreover, I was so scared to see one of the first victims’ head
instantly cut down as if several sharp machetes sliced their way through the jungles.
Pretty convincing gore&grind!
Yeah, I
definitely enjoyed time spent watching the battleship of blood-thirsty aliens
and humans suddenly left naked in front of outer threat. Nor only because I
love the weird Japanese movies. I just loved the way main protagonist
transformed from the shy and non-talkative schoolboy to the brave mankind’s
crusader. Wish my boyfriend could do it!

Ang Tatay Mong Kalbo
Ang tatay mong kalbo is an absurd play that shows nonsense
and being absentminded of the two main characters that makes the story funnier.
It is pretty funny seeing our classmate Joshua act as the Hepe I the story. We’re
proud of our batch mate because he also brings the name of our course. Many situations in the play proved that it is absurd like,
they just repeating the same words they are telling, and kept shouting and
fighting over nonsense and little things. They usually repeat their
hyperbolized words that make the play entertaining and funny. It is
entertaining in a way they express their feelings and thoughts about something
and on how they show exaggeration over simple things.
They also have this housekeeper named Maria that makes the
play funnier. Maria really feels comfortable at Mr. and Mrs. Santos house. It
really entertains me especially when Maria revealed that, she and hepe are both
in love. They have different traits and different attitudes but the reason that
they manage to understand each other is because they feel that they are
comfortable when together and having the same interest of telling tails.
Ang tatay mong kalbo really brought me a happiness and good
vibes. I hope that they would make more of this kind of play and entertain
stressed students like us.

Turn Left, Turn Right
This movie really makes me more fall in love with my girlfriend. It just show that no matter how far you are or even if you're different, as long as the love is there, nothing can tear the bond of love between the both of you. Its just so cute how their love story works. As a matter of fact, I'm not usually watching or interested in love story movies. But here, I realized that you will learn a lot from the movies that has love. As I've watched the movie, I saw that the two person are really doing everything just to see each other again. They're really destined for each other as we can see. The patience that the both show are all worth it in the end. It's not just because they're both in love, but because finally, they've given a chance to see and hug each other again. You know, loving someone you do not see is so hard. But these two proved that even if they can't see each other. That does not stop them from hoping that someday, maybe someday the time would come and they will meet again. They did not even notice that all this time, they're so close from each other.
They didn't even realize that they're neighbor until their friend made a way for them to meet. Its funny because I never thought that the doctor and the other girl are the one who was destined. You really never know who are destined for you, but one thing you can do is to have patience and wait until our Lord give it to you.

Heneral Luna
As I've watched the film, it was like an eye opener because I knew the things and sacrifices made by General Luna for the Filipinos. I admire the bravery of General Luna especially in the fight scene against the Americans. General Luna says “The real enemy of the Filipinos are themselves.” There is a point to be said for both envy and selfishness. Sadly, General Luna's willingness to fight for our country killed himl. Gwardiya Sibil killed him and I asked myself why not just those who are judgmental and derogate Filipino. “Bayan o Sarili?” This tagline was exactly the behaviour of other Filipinos. Most of the Filipinos is more concerned with themselves, than others. Selfish, that is the exact word. He is willing to die for Filipinos. Until now, the majority does not know, who killed General Luna. I don’t see any reason to kill General Luna in a violent way. Many Filipinos have sacrificed their lives merely to achieve independence for our country. It also showed that Filipinos are willing and able to fight for independence. That it come to the point that General Luna surrendered and he wanted to kill himself, because he knew he would not get the freedom that everyone wants. The film really inspired me, especially on how General Luna fight for our country . He said “they cannot win their freedom by caring for their loved ones, they have to pay the price.” General Luna is referring to our Blood and Sweat. Some of the politicians and business men does not like the way on how General Luna run things the way he want. I understand General Luna for being strict, because I know that he just want the Filipinos to be disciplined and responsible. And also he want the Filipinos to be aware on what is happening between the two country which is America and Philippines. We need to be united, for our country. Unity is needed to achieve independence. We should love or appreciate our country the way General Luna does.

Self Introduction
My name is Kirsten Clyde Delacerna Isabela, my friends call me KC because Kirsten or Clyde for me is to girlish. I live at 16th st block 21, Barangay 183, Villamor Pasay City. We originally live from Pampanga but for some personal reasons, we are forced to move here in Pasay. I'am 2nd in our family, I have 2 brothers, Kirk Patrick Isabela and Kian Reece Isabela. My mother is a housewife and my father is a soldier. I'm a guy who respects women a lot. I'm active in sports like basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, soccer and sepak takraw. I'm a former basketball player way back in Pampanga, I also have my training in badminton when I was 14, I play table tennis when I was 1st year highschool, I'm also a member of soccer team in Clark and I was a varsity in sepak at my former school in Pampanga. I'm close with real and trustworthy person and I hate social climber. I love to explore new things and I love adventures. I play online game dota2 and I'm a dancer too. I'm dancing since 3rd year high school and I'am pursuing it up to now.
I was born on June 11, 1999 at cotabato city medical center. When I was a baby my mom and dad left me in cotabato for the reason of poverty. They leave me there until I reach 3 years of my life, my grandmother take a good care of me and treated me as her own baby. I was happy then until my parents came back and took me from my grandmother. They told me that, that time I didn't even know who they are. So they cried because as a parent, it hurts when your child didn't even know your name. That gave them enough reason to take me away as early as possible. My parents and my grandmother agreed to a deal (I don't know what is that deal). After that moment we lived at Clark Air Base Pampanga where I grew up and have my 1st adventure in life. It was happy back then until I reach my 3rd year high school and another challenge in life came in. We had a business and then because people are so crab mentality, they pull us down and throw us here in manila. My father said that after 4 years here in manila, we will go back in pampanga and start over again.
My dream is to have a successful life. I want to pay my debts to my parents and give them a stable life when they're old. I don't want them to have a miserable life when they are old. I'll take a good care of them and take them wherever they want. I want to become a hotel manager or a flight attendant when I graduate so that I could make my dream possible. I want a stable and legal job and a good awesome family. I also have my strengths and weaknesses. I am encouraged to do something when my special someone or my parents will motivate me, my weaknesses is when I have a conflict them. My life would not be completed without them. I want to bring back the life we had before and start over again.
